Thailand. Series 17 Banknotes

In 2018, the Bank of Thailand announced a new family of banknotes featuring a portrait of its current king, Maha Vajiralongkorn. The main colors and dimensions of the notes are the same as before, with the back designs featuring images of the Kings of Thailand from past to present. The 20, 50 and 100 baht banknotes were issued on Chakri Memorial Day, April 6, 2018. The final two denominations, 500 and 1,000 baht were issued on the anniversary of the birth of King Maha Vajiralongkorn, July 28, 2018.

Portugal Banknotes. 1000 Escudos banknote 1983 Teófilo Braga

The Portuguese escudo is the currency of Portugal prior to the introduction of the euro on 1 January 1999 and its removal from circulation on 28 February 2002. The escudo was subdivided into 100 centavos. The word escudo means "shield".

Mauritius. Currently circulating banknotes

The first banknotes were issued by the government dated 1876 in denominations of 5, 10 and 50 rupees. 1-rupee banknotes were added in 1919. In 1940, emergency issues were made of 25 and 50 cents and 1 rupee. In 1954, 25 and 1000 rupees were introduced. The Bank of Mauritius was established in September 1967 as the nation’s central bank and has been responsible for the issue of banknotes and coins since that time.

Sri Lanka. Eleventh Note Series

The rupee (Sinhalese: රුපියල්, Tamil: ரூபாய்) (signs: රු, ரூ, Rs; code: LKR) is the currency of Sri Lanka, divided into 100 cents. It is issued by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka. The abbreviation is generally Rs., but SLRs. is occasionally used to distinguish it from other currencies also called rupee.
The theme of the eleventh series of notes issued in 2010 is “Development, Prosperity and Sri Lankan Dancers”. Source

Front: At the center of the front of the note, is a drawing of the view of the Port of Colombo as seen now and in history. The bird that appears on the right is the Sri Lanka Serendib Scops Owl (Otus thilohoffmanni). The butterfly that appears on the lower left corner is the Baronet (Symphaedra nais).

Back: When the back of the note is viewed vertically, at the center there is a traditional Ves Netuma Dancer dancing to the tune of the Geta Bera Drummer next to him. The Punkalasa, or the “pot of plenty”, which is a symbol of prosperity, is on the top right of the note. A Liya Vela, or “the stylized floral motif” appears on the right side of the note.

Front: The newly constructed bridge in Manampitiya appears on the center of the note. The formerly used bridge, over which both trains and other vehicles ran, appears to the left of the new bridge. Above both, is the faint visualization of a historical railway arch bridge. The bird on the right side of the note is the Sri Lankan Dull Blue Flycatcher (Eumyias sordida). The butterfly on the left is the Blue Oakleaf (Kallima philarchus).

Back: When the back of the note is viewed vertically, a Vadiga Patuna Dancer (who belongs to the low country dancing tradition) is dancing to the tune of the Yakbera drummer, playing his Yakbera drum to the left of the dancer. The guard-stone of the Punkalasa, or the “pot of plenty”, which is a symbol of prosperity, is on the top right of the note. A Liya Vela, or “the stylized floral motif” appears on the right side of the note.
